No, this isn’t the result of a production foul-up in Poland – Fiat has brought a 5:1 scale model of its 500C to Oxford Street in London as part of a European tour to promote the convertible.
The model will display a projection of the sky on the inner lining of the car’s roof (yes, you can walk inside it – see the picture below). The giant 500C will be displayed as part of ‘The Big Smile’ that’s taking place in central London from 28 August until 2 September.
The Big Smile will also feature regular-sized versions of the current Fiat 500 range, and aims to draw in shopping footfall with its recreation of park scenes, along with deckchairs and entertainers.
Elena Bernardelli, marketing director for Fiat Group Automobiles in the UK said:
The huge Fiat 500C, and the whole event will create a great atmosphere and we’re anticipating six very happy days ahead.
