Yes, it’s back for 2012. The Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award is now open for entries, seeking ambitious university students who could be the next top talent in the automotive industry.
*Obligatory disclaimer* – if you know me or have bothered to read my ‘About’ page, you’ll know that I work for the SMMT, which is proudly supporting the award!
Alongside the SMMT, the contest is supported by:
- Jaguar Land Rover
- McLaren Automotive
- Toyota GB
The winner’s prize includes an extensive work experience package comprising a month at each of the latter, as well as £7,500 cash and priceless networking opportunities.
After responding to a brief set by Autocar’s Editor-in-Chief, Steve Cropley, the contenders will be whittled down to just six, who will present their ideas in person at a Dragon’s Den-style judging day in Teddington. Three finalists go on to the SMMT Annual Dinner in November where the overall winner is then announced.
The award is an unmissable opportunity to kick-start a career in the most exciting business sector in the world. If you’re a university student with a keen interest in the automotive industry, you need to head on over to the Autocar-Courland Next Generation website right now to find out more.
